Opportunities to Serve

Worship Leadership

• Liturgist: As liturgist, you will light the candles, lead the call to worship, and re-light the candles for the recessional. The liturgist also collects the offering with the lay reader. The liturgist assists the Pastor in serving the Holy Communion.

• Lay Reader: Proclaim the scripture reading(s). The lay reader also collects the offering with the liturgist. 

• Greeters: Greeters welcome the congregation to worship and take special care to show hospitality to first-time guests.

• Musical Leadership: We are currently seeking someone to fill this role.

Administrative Leadership

• Tracyton UMC is powered by the generous time given by the members of our congregation. The following positions are filled by elected members who make up the Administrative Council. Each elected position is a one-year term that begin and end in mid-November.

  • Staff/Parish Relations Committee

  • Finance Committee

  • NOW Committee
